Cheddar Gorge, three miles long with its beautiful stalagmite caves is a natural
wilderness in the heart of rural Somerset.

6pm and Sunday, 11am - 5pm.
- Tropiquaria, Near Watchet.
A wildlife park near Watchet ideal for younger members of the family. Children
can stroke a snake, handle a tarantula and have fun in the adventure playground.
- West Somerset Steam Railway, Bishops' Lydeard.
West Somerset Steam railway has a unique charm and character running through twenty
miles of glorious Somerset scenery from Bishops Lydeard past the Quantock hills to
the Bristol channel coast at Minehead. Most of the trains have buffet and bar
facilities, serving local produced food and drinks.
- Wookey Hole Caves and Papermill, Near Wells.
Since Roman times Wooky Hole caves have been a source of wonder to visitors. Running
under the Mendip hills the extensive caverns have yet to be fully explored. Wookey
Hole also boasts Britain's last handmade papermill.
