Grange Farm Cottage is located in an area which is rich in wildlife. Otters, roe deer, mink, badgers, foxes and water voles are all present in the area. It is also good for bird life. Listed below are some of the more interesting birds which can be seen around Grange Farm:

Somerset Wildlife Trust owns 74 reserves in Somerset. The nearest to Grange Farm is Sutton Pond, which is within easy walking distance. Other local reserves are located at:

Holford Kelting. Ancient woodland at GR ST154415.
Aisholt Wood. Ancient oak woodland at GR ST194357. Public bridleway from GR ST199362.
Catcott Lows. Wildfowl and waders. GR ST400415.

National Nature Reserves

There are two National Nature Reserves in Somerset, which are open to the public:
Bridgwater Bay with hides near Stert Point GR ST288472.
Ebbor Gorge above Wookey Hole GR ST520486.
